Online and information and communications technologies increased online forms of violence against women and girls have especially due to the more common usage of social media, online learning and online jobs due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Providing women and girls with skills and knowledge to protect themselves from online gender based violence, and have the information on available services is essential.
This course was developed with the intention of equipping girls with knowledge and skills on how to prevent and mitigate online gender-based violence and ensuring “Safety” for girls as an essential component of quality online education.
This module will provide information to girls on online safety uses of information and communications technologies (ICTs) and Internet to prevent and mitigate online gender based violence.
